What do you think of this format ?????

Competition format IKSA 2015

Freestyle ….Single elimination 7 minute heat 9 tricks Max best 7 score Mens, Ladies and Juniors (u 18)

Hang time... 7 minute heat 3 attempts max. Longest timed hang time is winner. Mens Ladies

Twin Tip racing ...Triangle format with upwind buoy. Two laps. Plan up to 6 races per fleet

Fleet classes Mens, Ladies , `Masters (age40 plus) and Juniors U18

Riders can enter all competition formats or choose what ever suits there standard. Encourage all kite surfers to enter

IKSA TT Max size for Racing
Hull Length 1710mm

Hull Beam 150mm

Hull width 510mm

Hull Thickness 20mm

FIN
A maximum of any four fins may be attached to the hull when racing. Retractable fins are disallowed. No fin shall be attached to the hull in the mid 30% of the hull length. No other hull appendages are permitted.
DIMENSIONS The shortest distance between the lowermost point of the fin and the bottom of the hull shall not exceed 60 mm. The maximum width of a fin shall not exceed 130mm.

I would suggest having the Hull length under 1700mm, so specialist, super
light wind boards are not used.

whats 10mm difference make ? 1710mm max length IKSA trying to follow the IKA as much as possible SO we can get support form the IKA 1700 boards are huge try riding them in Irish waters nightmare The second race as the guy where all on normally TT with boots casue it was waves and didn't want to lose board

Only cause the bigger light wind specific boards are 170. Lots of people have big kites but not many have big specialist boards. If wind is light they will have a massive advantage. Was thinking of the "racing for the masses" principle.
