Who are the IKSA?
As you've probably already guessed, the IKSA is the Irish Kitesurfing Association. We are a group of committed  Kitesurfing instructors and riders that want the sport to progress in Ireland an organised and professional manner, in turn ensuring  that Irish Kitesurfing has a representative voice both nationally and Internationally.

The IKSA committee
is made up of a core committee based in Dublin,

President: James Phelan, Co-Secretary's: Conor Lilis and Alexis Ledoux, and Treasurer:, Kieran Sammon.

  Our mission
The
IKSA  Mission is to encourage safety, accessibility and responsibility among the Kitesurfing community while developing a framework for events both competitive and social.

So we have photos and comments from many competitors that will hopefull whet your appetite for more in the seasons and comptetions ahead...

Plans for 2005...
A lot is gonna happen in the coming year..

2004 was a great success, all the events that were organised worked really well for the many Kitesurfers who came along and we want to build on this success. A calendar of events is being drawn up for this year, both competitive and social

A designated events coordinator role is being established in 2005 and it is hoped that this person, working in conjunction with local representatives, will write the blueprint for successful Irish competitions, provided we are blessed with some wind.

    Focus for the future...
Discussions are underway in to get sponsorship for an International level event in 2006. If you want to become a sponsor then go to our Sponsors page for information about how you can do this
